What VIP gives you

VIP is the tier that turns browsing into dating. It unlocks unlimited chat, so you can keep a conversation going for as long as it needs, and it makes your profile easier to find by placing it higher in search results. If you plan to message people rather than wait to be found, VIP is the plan to look at.

How VIP Plus is priced

Of the two tiers, VIP Plus is the premium one and is priced higher at every length, as the tables above show. Compare both before you confirm a purchase, and choose a plan length that suits how long you plan to stay active.

How to choose a length

Think about what you need right now rather than which number looks smaller:

• One week suits you if you want to test the members area, write to a few profiles and see how conversations go before committing further.
• One month fits a focused search: enough time to exchange messages, set up a video call and plan a first meeting.
• Three or six months make sense if you live somewhere with fewer profiles in range and expect to search over a longer stretch.
• Twelve months is one payment with no renewal attached, handy if you would rather never think about a rollover date.

What you can do before paying

Opening an account takes a few minutes at the signup form, and it lets you judge the site on your own terms. Before any upgrade you can:

• create your profile, upload photos and write your headline and description;
• set your search distance and browse the profiles within it;
• see who matches your role and limits, and build a shortlist.

That way, if you decide to pay, you already know who you want to write to and whether the people near you fit what you are after. If they do not, you can walk away having bought nothing at all.

Paying from outside the United States

Pegging Dates is priced in dollars first because the site is written for American readers, and the plans are also priced in pounds, euros and other currencies. The checkout page shows the exact amount and currency before you confirm anything, and that is the figure your card will be charged. Your bank may add its own foreign transaction fee if your card is in a different currency, so check with your card issuer if that matters to you.

Discreet billing

Whichever plan you pick, the charge reaches your statement under a discreet billing name, never as Pegging Dates. If even a neutral charge would raise questions at home, consider paying with a card only you see.

Renewal and cancelling

Plans from one week to six months renew automatically at the same price and length when the current period ends, unless you cancel first. You are never billed for the next period before your current one runs out.

To cancel, contact the support team or use the chat bot inside your account, and you will be emailed a link to complete the cancellation. Cancelling does not cut you off early: whatever you bought stays active until the covered period runs out.

Cancelling stops billing; it does not delete your profile. If you want the profile and your data removed too, ask support for that separately.

Upgrading and switching tiers

If you start on VIP and later want VIP Plus, or the reverse, you can choose a different plan when your current one ends. Plan around your renewal date: cancel the old plan's renewal first, let it run out, then buy the new one, so you never hold two overlapping subscriptions. If you are unsure which plan you are on, the account area shows your current tier and when it ends, and support can confirm it for you.

Refunds

Under the terms, purchases are generally final and partly used periods are not refunded, except where local law gives you a right to one. The terms list special cancellation rights for residents of Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island and Wisconsin, and for buyers in the UK, the EU, the EEA and Switzerland. If you live in one of those places, read that section of the terms before you buy.

Before you pay

A few habits help you get your money's worth:

1. Finish your profile before upgrading, so the people you write to have something to read.
2. Make a shortlist of profiles you want to contact, then upgrade and write to them.
3. Set a reminder one day before your renewal date so you decide on purpose whether to continue.
4. Read the safety page before you buy, so you know the habits that keep chats safe.
